Beartown Patchwork and Quilters
We are a local group with members from Congleton and surrounding areas. Our focus is on patchwork and we welcome beginners through to experts. This vibrant group offers speakers, challenges, social sewing evenings and makes. We meet at the Wellspring Methodist Church, Canal Rd, Congleton, CW12 3AP on a Tuesday at 8 to 10 pm. There are two meetings per month.
Congleton Choral Society
Congleton Choral Society – If you enjoy singing, can sing in tune and have a basic knowledge of music come along to a few rehearsals and see if you’d like to join us! We rehearse on Monday evenings at Trinity Methodist Church, 7-9 Wagg Street, Congleton CW12 4BA starting at 7:30pm (arrive any time from 7:00pm). We perform four concerts a year, usually in the Town Hall.
Congleton Community Choir
Congleton Community Choir is a non-auditioned choir for men and women who wish to start singing, polish existing skills or return to singing after a break. The choir enjoys singing a variety of music in different styles under its inspiring conductor, Tom Newall.
Sessions: Mondays 6-7pm, Trinity Methodist Church, first session free.
Congleton Group Family History Society of Cheshire
Congleton Group Family History Society of Cheshire is an educational charity whose aim is to advance the education of the public in the study of Family History. We have around 1400 members and meet at 13 locations across Cheshire. We meet in the Congleton Library on the third Tuesday of each month.
Congleton Live
Congleton Live operates two music based festivals in the town, Congleton Jazz and Blues and Congleton Unplugged. The purpose of these events is to contribute to the sustainability of our town centre, support local musicians and give a boost to community spirit as well as offer great weekends packed with quality music. The events are run by volunteers and funded locally, if you want to get involved

Congleton Musical Theatre
CMT is Congleton’s oldest community amateur theatrical society aiming to produce musical shows of the highest standards and appealing to a wide range of audiences at Daneside Theatre. If you are interested in joining us we rehearse twice a week for our shows which are in October.
Congleton Players Amateur Theatre Club

Electric Picture House Artists Co-operative
Congleton’s contemporary art hub, with affordable artists’ studios, exhibition and workshop space. We are involved in many community arts projects and hold regular art exhibitions, studio theatre productions, music events and workshops.

Classes taught in our fully equipped dance studios 3rd Floor, Spindle Mill, Spindle Street, Congleton CW12 1QN – ballet, tap, disco, jazz street dance, contemporary, musical theatre, a fitness class and a Mums and Tots class.

Louise Carter School of Dance
Dance school for age 3+. Lessons available in ballet, modern and tap. contemporary and Musical Theatre Associated to ISTD examination board. Biannual shows. Adult lessons also available: tap, ballet and jazz on a Thursday morning at Mossley Old School and Daneside Theatre rehearsal rooms. Teachers and helpers fully insured, DBS checked and fully qualified.

Was established in Congleton in 2019 by four members who were passionate about having a community theatre hub specialising in plays, delivering workshops, theatre experiences and the opportunity to help people build on their skills and passion for theatre. We perform 2 plays a year to inspire and entertain the audiences of Congleton and surrounding areas.
