Grand Lantern Parade
Lantern making workshops for the Grand Lantern Parade
This year’s family lantern making workshops were held on three Saturdays in November and we made nearly 100 lanterns with some wonderful creations including 3D stars, a space ship and Blackpool Tower. Thanks to all the families who came along and took part in the parade and thanks to Karamba for leading the parade with their wonderful samba drumming. It was a new route and there were some pinch points and overcrowding so we will be looking to improve all that for next year. We apologise for any stress caused.
The Lantern making workshops were a great success with nearly 100 lanterns made with some especially creative ideas this year including a space ship and Blackpool Tower!
